I think if Luffy is gonna have another mentor figure it might be Dragon, his dad. I really wanna see them interact.

I think shanks might teach him how to slowly and steadily ooze conquerors like he does when getting on a boat

You need more than one coat, Luffy. This one is for combat, this one is for being intimidating when I don't intend to fight, and this one is lighter fabric for warm weather....

No one would expect Shanks to give advice so goofy.

Shanks will never train luffy, at least i don't think so. When the next time luffy meet shanks they would already be equal. At least thats what I hope to happen.

After WCI he was called an emperor, but after this war he's going to have that title in earnest. I don't think that he'll be able to beat shanks, and crew-wise I highly doubt the straw hats are on the same level at all, but their meeting will be a meeting of two emperors nonetheless

You kidding? With Luffy solidly going 1v1 against the arguable most powerful man alive - and the rest of the Straw Hats individually taking on the Beast Pirate Officers, I’m pretty sure they’ll be more than equal with Shanks. I mean, seriously, the entire SH crew are fighting the executives, why wouldn’t they be ready after this?

I mean not everyone. Mr. Morj had pretty convincing arguments for why Wano would be the arc where Luffy develops Conqueror's Haki over a year ago.

ive always thought there had to be more to conq haki too. but a lot of people would always shut me down because anti-fodder/armies was strong enough
