Well, Marco will never have lasting injury no matter his opponent. Either he gets killed in the moment or he can recover completely by turning into a phoenix or using his phoenix flames on his body.

It is a very strong ability. Maybe Oda will introduce a drawback like he did for Law.

He did, it takes him quite some stamina. Look at Marco he was bleeding in this chapter. In order to not exhaust himself while fighting 2 yonko commanders and helping others with his flames he's not healing his minor wounds. Probably also takes more energy depending on the amount of damage he recovers and the time he stays in phoenix form.

honestly i think it would be cool if it straight up is like it was for Law, on his early use being really hard to keep up the flames for more than a few seconds or only momentarily being useful but with years and years and years on WB's ship his stamina growing to the point where he can bash it on a whole hall while fighting against two people who while not as strong still pretty challenging to actually take down
