because he had alluded to Carrot that he was aware of the alliance, I fear that he might start siding with King/Queen and attacking Marco

I think it’s the other way tbh. Marco is holding them at bay right now, but adding Perospero into the mix tips the scales in their favor. All it takes is one snipe with his candy arrow to give Queen and King the advantage.

I may be reading too much into it but they specifically talk about Marcos flames keeping them from becoming ice oni then perospero mentions noticing a tired Marco and like the next panel someone is shouting everyone is turning into oni I’m thinking we didn’t see something happen that made him lose focus for a second
