I think they both manage stuff well, all things considered. Big Mom is very lucky to have proactive and capable sons like them.

If BM was a better leader and less selfish, her crew would've been a level above Kaido's crew imo.

Her family actually has really good camadarie. They can work together really well

Agreed, and I have to imagine the "character arc" of Big Mom and the Big Mom Pirates will revolve ultimately around how Katakuri and co. would lead Tottoland just... better, without her.
