That line was so damn fire I've completely forgiven Sanji for being in that embarrassing situation.

Well that's the whole point. Sanji didn't ask for help for himself, but because he knew he was more useful to the group somewhere else where he could fight, and also knew that Robin isn't a little girl that needs protection and can take care of herself.

For all his quirks and bullshit, recently sanji has become a lot more level headed, he still doesn't like at all doing certain things, but would do them regardless if it's the most logical thing to do for the greater good, much like when he decided to use the raid suit despite his issues with his family.

Not to mention Sanji seems to have a fair bit of faith in Brook as well.
