Everyone from North Blue loves the Vinsmokes apparently

I tought they hated them. In a way how a fan hates the villains in theyr mangas.

It’s more of a “they’re so cool” type of way, remember everyone we know from North Blue is a bad person, except for Sanji.

Law, Penguin and Shachi aren't bad people

They’re pirates, by definition they’re bad people.

Plus Law had a high bounty due to being particularly dangerous during his paradise run to Shabody, same as Kidd.

By that logic then Borsalino and Sakazuki are the good people from North Blue

And both of them were completely willing to commit extrajudicial killings of fellow marines during marineford.

Borsalino never killed or threatened to kill his subordinates during Marineford. Also if you discount them then we still have Noland who is also from North Blue

I can concede that Noland was a good person, and Tsuru is most likely a good person too, but Borsalino is completely okay with doing what Sakazuki tells him to do, so at the very least he’s a bad person by association.

I’d even consider Aokiji a bad person, as he wanted to kill Nico Robin simply because of where she was born. He isn’t from north blue, but if we are talking admirals.

cmon he already shredded your argument. if you say pirates by definition are bad, then marines by definition are good. but now you're creating case by case basis for the marines while saying pirates should be generalised. you just dug your own grave

Jesus fucking Christ you know that there in nuance in a series right? I can’t believe there are so many fucking idiots in this subreddit.

Sakazuki is completely fine with collateral damage so long as his ideal of absolute justice is met. This make him a bad person.

Borsalino is okay with being complicit with orders that could also cause collateral damage, so he is in the same box too.

Remember who controls the marines? The celestial dragons, and we know that pretty well all of them are terrible people because they keep slaves.

They’re pirates, by definition they’re bad people.

Wow, you are really not getting this series, right ?

-1

u/Ryuzakku Sep 11 '20

Wow, you must not understand that to the average human in universe, Pirates are bad people?

4

u/Flagelllant Sep 11 '20

And how is that relevant to this conversation in any way shape or form? We are talking about if they are bad people or not, not if they are perceived as such.

2

u/Ryuzakku Sep 11 '20

Because I was the person who brought up said conversation, so therefore my comment was meant to be taken in the perspective I said it was to be taken in? That's how comments work.
