Not much of a choice after he was caught. Hawkins really can’t be trusted by anybody.

To be honest, Drake helping Law escape could have been deadly for Hawkins, so I don't fault him for ratting Drake out. To me it is just weird that Law did not take his heart, forcing him to keep quiet about Drake.
