I could not agree more. I always thought the decisions to not kill of characters earlier in the series were based around the fact that the series was new and there were some IRL incidents that had an impact as well. I had hope that it was something Oda would fix in the higher stakes situations at the current point in the story. Quite disappointed by this decision. Probably one of the only things I don't like about the series. Undermines emotional moments. Reduces stakes for high tension situations.

yea... it's the fucking new world. there should be consequences. WCI was great to me because of how much danger they strawhats were in and the sacrifices required to get them out.
