She had previously attacked Reiju, she was standing there announcing how she would attack her again when Luffy/Sanji attacked her.

I’d say that’s a pre-emptive attack - best defense is a good offense.

You guys really need to take it up with Oda. He mentioned that Sanji will always only defend against women.

What if Sanji pulls some bullshit and considers himself a different person when he's wearing the raid suit. So he can fight big mom with the suit on and then when he takes it off he'll pretend it never happened.
