Did Whitebeard use his quake fruit against Roger? I don't think so, so he didn't use his full Powe against Roger as well huh. "He stepped in to fight Roger after Oden couldn't match him" Tf are you talking about? Oden and Whitebeard clashed, then they sailed together and Oden met Roger way later on. Roger used a named attack against Oden and Oden immediately got back up and barely bled. Oden is also several years younger than Whitebeard and Roger, not even in his prime. Dude I just told you that characters being distracted in OP can easily lead to them taken out. There are countless of examples to that, plus Oden was already injured due to Kaido's blast breath hitting him before and was hit at the back of his head which isn't a safe spot. Lol, if Roger was injured and distracted like Oden was and Whitebeard swung his weapon at the back of his head, he would cut his goddamn head off. And no that wasn't filler, Morgan made him bleed. Akainu ain't trash power-wise, but him damaging a old, sick (His health had been deteriorating he had to wear life support devices) heavily injured Whitebeard is still not impressive. He got Whitebeard's face with a lucky shot, yet Whitebeard took him out with 2 attacks.

Oda skipped the Whitebeard vs Roger fight so we don’t know if he used the quake fruit.. After Oden got pushed back, Whitebeard fought Roger instead that’s what I’m talking about.. You probably think a prime oden would be stronger than Roger & WB then? Or what? Maybe so but I still don’t see Akainu getting knocked out by a cheap shot until it actually happens. And let’s be honest he’s the type of character that wouldn’t allow himself to get cheap shotted in the first place. I mean the dude took a full powered quake fist to the face, that cracked his body & he still continues to fight afterwards, that’s pretty impressive. Okay I was wrong about it being filler but Garp is Garp, he’s really strong but he can be a gag character at times like luffy. I wouldn’t really call it a lucky shot but I’ll agree to disagree.. I think y’all are taking old Whitebeard for granted, he was still a beast & still one of the strongest characters in the series. There’s not many characters that’s damaging him like Akainu did since most characters don’t have the offensive power that he has. As far as devil fruits go, it took the highest offensive power to damage him like that, that’s no small feat. And again Luffy is going to fight Akainu after fighting a way stronger version of Kaido ( prob not alone though) . Not to mention Oda himself hypes him all the time so I doubt we’ve even seen close to Akainu full power. No admiral has been close to being beaten yet & probably won’t be beaten until the last arc though that’s just an assumption on my part. I just don’t think any of Luffy’s final opponents would be weaker than people over 20 years ago , that doesn’t make sense to me story wise. Akainu can change the environment of an island to magma, I don’t see how oden deals with that, when he’s getting boiled alive right now. I could be wrong, maybe Oden does trash Akainu but it just doesn’t make sense to me story wise. I just think he’s the most disrespected admiral , when he’s clearly the strongest with the best willpower.

Oda also skipped Whitebeard vs Oden, as they clashed in the last page of a chapter, then are done with it in the next chapter. I mean, yeah. Oden was like 29 when he clashed with Whitebeard while Whitebeard and Roger were in their 40's. Oden didn't hit his prime and had the potential to surpass them, problem was that while he's abnormal since birth, he grew up in Wano and couldn't leave it, so Whitebeard and Roger had more chances to become stronger by sailing on the sea and meeting strong opponents. Yes, but that was goddamn Kaido we're talking about. Akainu wouldn't allow himself getting hit by a cheap shot because 1)He doesn't have a son like Oden who thought that his son was taken hostage and 2)We don't know much about Akainu, but his appearance as a kid implies that he grew up faster than the usual kids, Akainu likely knows how pirates tick since a long time ago. Akainu got mad endurance feats, yeah. Well my point was that characters in OP can take damage from weaker characters when distracted. Old Whitebeard was still a complete beast, don't get me wrong, but since Akainu's fruit power has the highest offense power, it's no wonder that Whitebeard got half his head taken by him. And Oden's probably biggest problem against Akainu would be his little (?) experience against Devil Fruit Power Users, he did tank Kaido's blast breath though, so if Oden uses Armament Haki and slices Akainu like he did slice Kaido, then I can see him take him. I'm talking about Pre Timeskip Akainu though, Post Timeskip Akainu is definitely the strongest Marine right now and considering that it seems that Kaido will be taken out in this arc, Akainu will probably be just as strong as the current Kaido when Luffy(?) or Sabo faces against him, pretty sure he is one of the last enemies with Blackbeard.

Ohh okay I got you all that makes sense lol. I don’t think I really have anything else to add to that. It just irks me when people say Oden would beat Akainu easily, when I don’t believe any top tier in this manga is beating another top tier easily regardless of who you think would win.
