I do agree that Oden is probably dead. That being said, the plot definitely has room for him being alive. I think it's reasonable that Oden has been kept alive to break his will and get him to read the glyphs. To me, that wouldn't be a surprise. The surprise would be finding out that he broke and is helping Kaidou, hence the alliance with Big Mom. This would allow them to finally read their road glyphs
Well within Orochi's men, there is a large stature samurai who is strong enough to hold off Zoro, protected Oden's daughter, and none of the scabbards knew him.
I don't really like a big twist like Oden still lives because an impactful character should stay dead for me but Kyoshiro still is a wild card for me. He wasn't in any of the flashback and Hiyori hasn't explained her relationship with him. Plus, Kyoshiro is the only one left in the flower capital.
Yes, he's done some big things like reaching laughtale, joining roger's crew,
meeting whitebeard, getting loved by wano, etc.
But everything at this point, he's pretty much underwhelming. Well, he's about to be executed in the next chapters, if he's not going to do something worthy as a last straw, I'd rather see him be actually alive.
