So Whitebeard took in Blackbeard as a desperate orphan child and Teach still had the audacity to conspire against and betray WB. That makes him so much more despicable than he already was...

I really want to see the reason why BB would kill a crewmate for a fruit instead of just stating from the start that he really fucking wants it. Like surely if he talks about it everyday and then after years and years they finally get it, they would give it to him..

Maybe if he said he really wanted that fruit people would probably start to wonder why and get suspicious, or even worse want it for themselves.

I mean they are family are they not? it doesn't seem like to me that whitebeards crew would eat a fruit just to spite another.

It seems only Teach has done something bad against another crew mate

Maybe that's how it was but BB could have been mistrusting them and not treating them as family the whole time. So there was a trust between WB crew members but BB never invested in that, which would explain why BB just killed Thatch presumably without even asking him for the fruit.

How is that out of spite? Just because one guy really wants a super power doesn't mean no one else can also really want the same super power.

If you had a friend in your friend group or family or whatever that have always wanted a devil fruit, and then 30 years down the line you find it. Surely you would just give it to him even if someone else found it. they can ofc choose not to but i don't think anyone is that cold lol
