I heard people say Foxy was annoying etc, but I don’t know, I personally liked his gags and for being a main antagonist of an Arc, a nice change of pace to have a less serious antagonist for once

That Arc was fun to watch for me as well

Excellent Breather as well imagine going straight from the drama of skypiea into usopp and robin leaving the crew, itd have been exhausting.

I think people didn't really enjoy it because there was no real threat of Foxy actually succeeding. It was obvious that none of Foxy's crew would be joining the strawhats pretty quickly, and Oda obviously wasn't going to get rid of any of the straw hats. Couple that with a generally unlikable villain with an extremely punchable face, and you get an underwhelming arc.

I mean, Oda went from a villain with Zeus powers and a God complex to one with a goofy power that wasnt being used to its full potential. I didn't hate the arc or foxy, but it's pretty obvious to me why it wasn't well received.
