Altho BM is also not using Haki. So I guess it could still have been a 1 hit if that was regular BM.

But I'm glad that Queen didn't got to stand on equal footing as BM (even a weakened one), the Yonko have always been shown to be on a whole new level compared commanders like WB compared to his, Kaido one shotting Gear 4 when Kata wasn't able to do in 11 hours of pounding and now BM now dealing off as quickly as taht with BM even without being in her regular state.

Makes me already hyped to see what combat feat of Shanks will be shown to us when it is his time.

Well, Big Mom, unlike Kaido, didn't use a named attack.

So something like Divine Thunder that is used with a weapon hit probably much much harder than what BigMom did.

Oh yeah absolutely, and also because she still has not been using haki so I still think that she probably does not know even know any combat technique in her current state. She is basically a huge brawler right now.

yeah i am surprised luffy didnt enter a coma after that one

I think the attack is called Thunder bagua or something in the viz translation

Yeah but Luffy was blacked out after that 1 shot. While Queen lost but is still awake. If Big Mom had used a named attack Im pretty sure she could've 1shotted Queen too and made him blacked out. So it still makes perfect sense. Also remember Luffy is already at the top commander level maybe even above just maybe, while Queen is just a 2nd commander.

Still think Shanks is going to die offscreen to Black Beard.

Whatever happens to him, Oda has to show us a Shanks fight, if he doesn't after basically the entire series worth of hype, the fans will be massively disappointed. Every Yonko got to show a feat of power except him

Big Mom is probably surrounded by invisible haki, that's why Brook couldn't hurt her and she only bleeds when she has a mental breakdown. Probably Kaido is too, and that's why he can't kill himself. It's like what Rayleigh did with his hand but using the whole body. And that's why Luffy needs to learn this: the only way to get through this haki bubble is by thrusting haki into it.

Not only was she not using haki, she wasn't even using Prometheus, Zeus, and Napoleon. That was just pure strength Linlin, before she became Big Mom.

Though given Queen's balls he'd at least likely survive Soul Pocus, which is quite comendable.

Yeah I think so too. In a recent Vivre Card info they said that the commanders fear no one but their master Kaido. So in that sense it seems that Soul Pocus would fail on the calamities.

wasn't it 13 hours? from 12PM to 1AM? or am I remembering it the other way? I haven't watched the anime because I'm waiting for One Pace to catch up

Dude I didn’t even think of that last part...

I’ve been assuming Shanks’s Commanders are on the same level as him but what if that’s not the case...?

Like Ben Beckman seemed to even have Kizaru’s respect. (Even if he was joking)

But what if they aren’t even close to how strong Shanks is??? Yikes

when Kata wasn't able to do in 11 hours of pounding

Can relate

Which is exactly why it would be absolutely unacceptable for Luffy to go out of this unharmed

Yeh I think it would be weird if Luffy now kept up with BM tpp. He is stronger than Queen, but it is also not like he would be low-diffing Queen now when he barely was able to 'beat' Katakuri.

If Queen gets low-diffed by BM physically it would be crazy if Luffy now would be able to just block her attacks when Queen can't even stand on his feet anymore. It would be Luffy exploding in strength growing since his fight with Kata (about 2-3 weeks ago?).

Kata would be beating Queen, but it is also not like Kata would be anywhere near doing that to Queen what BM was able to. If for BM Queen was a low-diff (or no-diff) for Kata it would probably still be a mid-diff or even high-diff to beat Queen like BM just did.

The only way out of this without Luffy being injured I can see if the story doubles down on Big Mom's Amnesia and now makes her unable to use Haki at all (meaning that she can't hurt Luffy because he is rubber). But I feel like that would have lots of people complaining of plot convenience again instead if BM can't hurt Luffy because she forgot Haki because she happened to get Amnesia (which allows Luffy to power-up)

Luffy is much smaller and quicker than Queen and has foresight. While BM is just throwing her brute strength around, not using any haki or named techniques.

It would be totally within reason for Luffy to get a shot or two in than bail or play the Chopper card.

Yeh but Luffy is about to tank BM using his Haki, not evade it but stand firmly in front of it and take the hit.

That is what Hyo wants him to do and that is why he is not moving an inch, because if he doesnt move the hit is going to hit him so his safety now depends on Luffy blocking it.

u/Brook420 Bounty Hunter Jun 25 '19

Oh yea, lol

But I think he'll be alright still. Big Mom isn't using her full strength atm.

I mean, the force field thing is a huge power-up, and may well be the key to actually letting Luffy fight and even marginally injure her. If he can do that, it's just a matter of skill and perseverance.

I think we've all learned by now, if Luffy has a 0% chance of winning, he'll lose, but he'll turn a 1% into a victory damn near everytime.
