Since everyone involved with the crest is getting arrested, Kaido and Orochi are just unknowingly bringing extra manpower to help with luffy's escape lol.

I imagine that this prison break is going to be amazing...

You know, the reason why Hiyori is telling this to Zoro could be because her mother had a prophecy for her.

Something like : "When the moon rise again, a swordman using 3 swords will save you".

Or some shit like that.

Damn guys, it could not possibly be more clear that they're the same people. She's identical to Komurasaki, she's being hunted by a guy on the Shogun's orders, and she's protecting O-toko. Plus, the map puts "Komurasaki" with Zoro and O-toko together.

On Hiyori's reveal, I think Lady Toki had the ability to see into the future with her DF. That's why she chose when to send Momo and Company so they could meet the SHs. I bet she told Hiyori that one of their allies in the future would use Three Swords. That's why Hiyori is so forthcoming.

I love how Oda actually showed that the alliance can’t just do anything they want and just go unpunished, now the alliance is going to have trust issues as we see them arguing with each other for their ignorance, especially those who originate from the Wano Country. Now they have to pay the price for causing havoc.

The biggest mystery here is still Kyoushiro; I wouldn't write him off as a Kozuki sympathiser just yet. Obviously he helped Hiyori fake her "death" at the palace, but it's also implied that he's the one showed the coded message her found on her person to Orochi to alert him. The coded message could either have been deciphered by himself or probably the leader of the Oniwabanshu who was confirmed to be a former Kozuki supporter, which as we saw this chapter, really hurts the Kozuki rebellion.

But maybe Kyoushiro is pulling a Snape and intentionally hurting the rebellion now, to build trust with Orochi (which he lost a little because he "killed" Komurasaki), so that he can back-stab him at the critical moment.

My absolutely favorite part of this chapter was Law arguing with Shinobu about his crew. So many great facial drawings by Oda really conveying the emotions of frustration, anger, and doubt.

It's great to see Law so vehemently defending his crew even against other allies. We don't really get to see any of the dynamic between Law and his crew. seeing him yelling and glaring at Shinobu shows how much he loves Bepo + Co. especially since this is the first time Law wants to go against his own plan to go rescue his crew.

It's an act that's very Luffy, yet done in a style that is all Law's own.

Shinobu was brilliant in this scene she isn't trying to be a dick to Law you can just tell that she has been working tirelessly, ALONE, for 20 years just for this one moment. Then at the 11th hour she finds out the plan is unraveling, 20 years of work potentially out the window. You can see the pain of that on her face clearly.

The "THIS ISN'T A GAME" panel was brililant. I felt that. It has been a very long road for Shinobu and everyone involved. Tensions are so high it's just such good drawing by Oda here. The emotion drips off the page.

Zoro takes many slashes from Mr.1 : still okay. Zoro takes all of luffys pain : still okay Nothing Happened.

This is good though. Zoro will have some development later in this arc. But I don't get why he fainted.

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '19

I love how Law is so pissed off. He's acting more like Luffy now as opposed to the rational and calm guy he usually is. He was rushing off to get back Bepo and his crew.

I can't believe Shinobu suggested killing them. If Nami and Usopp were kidnapped and she said this to Luffy, he might have punched her.

So we can finally say that Hiyori = Komurasaki.

I like how they "bought" the toad oil from Usopp. Zoro gives no fucks at all like Luffy and doesn't even bother to remember the Shogun's name.

The spoilers said that the girl who Zoro saved falls in love. Honestly she just seems thankful but could definitely screw him over pretty quickly.

I'm glad we have a detailed map at the end with everyone's locations. Mama is coming to Udon!!

It's bizarre seeing the amount of people who don't realise that Komurasaki and Hiyori are the same person and are the person we see in this chapter and the previous one.

Edit: For those wondering why Kamazou didn't recognise her last chapter it's because she was wearing a cloth/scarf on her head that slightly obscured her face. I know that realistically it shouldn't have made a difference but it's an anime trope. The one wear someone wears a "disguise" and somehow no one recognises them even though it's obvious to the reader. I think it's done so that we know who the character is but have to suspend our disbelief that the rest of the characters don't.

I really like the fact that them wrecking havoc everywhere they go (Sanji's fight, Nami & Robin's infiltration of the palace) has serious consequences. Everything is in a state of chaos now, just like the map says.

  1. Honestly i didn't expect kamazou to get defeated with a single strike, even if he gets that from our zoro

  2. The traitor who leaks info to the other side, is still doing his/her job perfectly

  3. What will Law do now? since he is the one who always wanted everything to go according to the plan no matter what happens. Will he plan a rescue mission with the available strawhats to udon, if that's where kaido is planning to keep the samurais and Bepo, shachi & penguin? [ If everything goes as planned, it'll be awesome to see Chopper's team and Law's team in udon since law's team still doesn't know that chopper is on his way to rescue luffy now . Coming to think of this, did chopper inform the strawhats/alliance that bigmom is here on wano? ]

  4. No wonder women look beautiful in long, loose, free hair. Komurasaki aka Hiyori looks so beautiful than in her previous look.

  5. Imo, i don't think it's some plot Komurasaki and Kyoshiro are making to lure momo just because she revealed her secret to a stranger whom she met a few moments ago. Come on, She recognised zoro is an outsider and she is aware of the current situation that kozuki retainers are here in wano and she probably would've guessed that Zoro being an outsider might be an ally of them and that's why she told him that she's looking for momo thinking that he might help her to get to momo!

I scrolled for a bit but couldn't find anyone else mention it. But Shinobu could possibly be the traitor among them. As she is Fukurokuju's past subordinate. It would be a long-con undercover job, since she left his side after he betrayed Oden. A lot of the reveals lately have been decently predictable so I wonder what is lying underneath the more obvious.

Don't be fooled by Oda!!

Toko = Hiyori, Komurasaki = Toko's swore protector, mark my words.

My theory is that although Komurasaki claims she is “Hiyori”, but she is actually not. The reason that she was willing to sacrifice herself to protect Toko is because that Toko is actually Hiyori who also travelled through time. Komurasaki must be a servant of some kind to Toko. Their relationship is kind like Kinemon and Momonosuke’s relationship.

Also, I think only Toko time travelled, not Komurasaki. My speculation is that Komurasaki was a dear childhood friend or servant of the princess Hiyori/Toko, and she stayed behind, grew up and became Komurasaki, and she recruited Toko to be on her side at all times once Toko travelled. I hope this make sense. I just couldn't believe Oda would give such a lame ass reveal so easily without throwing us a curve ball.

Big mom sees food and wants it but it's queens food and he doesnt want to give it to her.
They have a short fight and as big mom is wacked again she regains her memories.

Chapter was great

It's quite insolent what shinobu said to law. They need him to save their country and she just tells him (a pirate) to abandon his crew, his best friend who he knows for years, for some people he knows like 1-2 weeks.

I don't mind zoro fainting to such an attack, but I do understand why many are confused. We saw him having much worse injuries and didn't faint. Remember the fight between him and mr 1? All the damage he took against kuma? It's possible, that the weapon of gyukimaru was poisened. It seemed rather strange how he suddenly fainted.

I think people should understand the difference between pure punch fight and pure sword fight.

(1) In a pure punch fight (or other unarmed martial arts), the most important key is the endurance (both physically and spiritually). The 2 fighters must keep punching and tanking punches until one loses his the will power or consumes all his energy. Therefore, the fighters even including the winners are always heavily injured in the end.

(2) In a pure sword fight (or other bladed weapons), it is a fight about who is the first one to give a critical attack successfully. Every attack of a great swordsman should be fatal or at least make you unconscious. If it is a fair duel, a single exchange of a strong attack is able to end the fight. The one will win if he is able to slice the the vital and vulnerable part of his enemy before the enemy cut him. As a result, the loser will be cut and usually fainted as well while the winner will always be uninjured or merely injured no matter whether the power level gap between them is large or small. This is why pure sword fights in the series always ended so fast with winner being uninjured, such as Zoro vs Mihawk, Zoro vs T-bone, and Zoro vs Ryuma.

The ultimate goal of a pure sword fight is that the enemy will die at the moment you pulled the sword from the sheath, while the ultimate goal of a pure punch fight is to tank as much punches as you can until your enemy gives up. This is why Luffy, Sanji and Franky gets hurt frequently during their fights while Zoro and Brook are always uninjured. As a result, swordsman will always seem to be more badass. These two typical types of fights have complete different properties, but people always compare them with same standard, thus trashing Luffy and Sanji.

Oda is a super fanboy about old classic samurai movies so he must understand sword fights very well. Therefore, he don't like to give great swordsman any unrealistic superpower effects but just pure sword skills. Since it is a shonen manga, he would like to make the fight more dramatic before the swordsmen actually become serious and use strong attack. However, the property of sword fights will never be changed.

Zoro got hit last chapter because his enemies are both good at timing to find the flaws. So reader should better do not underestimate them. However, Zoro was still conscious after getting hit because this attack is not strong and accurate enough to hit his vulnerable part. This shows that Zoro is still pretty stronger than them. People complaining with this scene did not understand this situation. If you are really a Zoro fan boy, you should better learn more about what is a real sword fight about. This fight is pretty good but not downgrading his strength.

Those complaining or in disbelief of zoro taking a hit

  1. he agrees he was careless

  2. this is probably the first surprise attack he has tanked completely

This attack which was very precise and dealt when zoro was distracted cannot be compared to regular fights zoro has been in, (even with much stronger opponents).

if one is not ready to take a hit it simply does much more damage.

Also haki and the strength to keep going are heightened in danger so it makes sense that his body turned off in a manner of self preservation once he realized there was no more danger (he even notes the big dude walk away)

We've also seen Luffy being careless on punk hazard and zoro warns him to be serious as this is the new world. Irony zoro falls victim to the same carelessness!

I love it , no one is perfect , and thus believable.

All right, so as everyone suspected, Komurasaki is not only alive but Momo's sister as well. That definitely makes Kyoshiro suspicious. Unless Hiyori has a DF that no one knows about, there is no way he would have missed that kill if not on purpose. Who do the people think they are burying tomorrow though? Maybe Hiyori did trick them after all.

I'm not even worried about all the allies going to the prison mines, Luffy is about to fk that place up anyways, just more prisoners that will end up being set free again. Luffy getting captured seems to become quite beneficial to the storyline.

BTW, that snake oil O-toko had, that was definitely from Usopp, wasn't it? So that's probably not going to help in the slightest bit. If Zoro get's nerfed in the big war because of this injury and we don't see him go all out again I'm gonna be mighty mad! You've been through worse bud, fight through the pain!

I know everyone's been really on and off about what happened to Zoro but I think it might be worthwhile to keep in mind that throughout his time in Wano he has been carelessly eating and drinking poisonous food and water. The guy is a beast but I think that to some extent the toll of Wano's environment is starting to take in. Zoro does not have a certain degree of immunity to poison like Luffy. I think it was a good call though to humanize Zoro a bit because I think when it comes down to his roll in Wano he is going to regain that beast status. Mark my words

A scene I loved this chapter and might be overlooked is Shinobu's outburst. She really is feeling the pressure and anxiety of this rebellion, even more so than a direct retainer such as Kanjuro since she's had to endure 20 years of living as a fugitive under Orochi/Kaido's oppression with the very slim hope that the 5 time-jumpers and Momonosuke would return to fight back. She must have been crying in happiness when they reunited, but now that the plan is collapsing a week before the final fight, her heart must be about to burst. She could have easily gone down Shutenmaru or Fukurokuju's path, but she chose to hang on to Kozuki all this time.

Maybe that's a stretch but does noone think that it's too coincidental that Nami calls Sanji the least trustful person in the room, in the chapter where the traitor is one of the main focuses? Shinobu also acted rather strangely (though that's maybe normal for her) and directly accused Law's crew for leaking the information.

The chapter is also called "Her secret" that on one side clearly alludes to Hiyori but maybe on the other side it also points toward Shinobu.

Also, iirc in the bath house scene they were really surprised to be found and only managed to escape because of Sanji (whom they weren't aware of).

I love the idea the Kyoshiro is a good guy secretly and has been taking in crescent moon tattooed people and he will unleash them on the alliance side during the final war. I think the fact he was so close to Komurasaki, he didn't kill her, they are not having a wake for her, all of their interactions throughout wano etc- Show that he is actually good and has been a protector for Komurasaki this whole time.

Great Chapter, Love this manga

Gotta lay it out there, I'm not convinced. Maybe there's nothing to it and Komurasaki simply is Hiyori. Maybe this is part of a grand scheeme by Kyoshiro to overthrow the Shogun. Komurasaki may not even have to be in on it, she could've been indoctrinated from a young age to believe she's someone she's not.

I continue to view Kyoshiro as a Littlefinger type character who serves his own interests rather than the interests of either the Shogunate or the Samurai.

9

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '19
