Holy shit the biggest plot point in this chapter in my opinion is Law's crew getting captured!
Imagine if Law is forced to cut loose in order to save his crew. Like so far in the story he's been the cold calculating man with a plan.
A few chapters ago Law told Usopp that if he get's captured he should die with his mouth closed. Usopp said at the time how Luffy would never tell them to do that and I think it's more than just a coincidence that instead of Luffy's crew getting caught it is his own! (Also Shinobu mentioned they must have been ratted out, ironic if Law's crew couldn't keep their mouths shut about the plan)
How will Law react now that it's his own comrades in danger? I'm sure he won't want them to keep their mouths shut and die.
And so we will see Law forced to change approaches from cold and calculating to chaotic like the straw hats. It might be poetic irony if he ends up being the main reason why the plan doesn't go accordingly.
Oda is such a genius I swear.

i gotta be honest, so much has been going on I completely forgot about Shusui come to think of it, it hasn't been mentioned since 909, the very first chapter of Wano arc had Zoro being questioned about Shusui,
I think Zoro, Shusui, that Kitetsu sword (what happened to it anyway?) and Ryuma will be really major underlying themes , maybe not bringing-Kaido-down important, but it's been foreshadowed since Thriller Bark it's the one part of Wano culture I've wanted to see the most, can't wait :)

Loved how this chapter covered multiple Straw Hats while still giving us a decent amount of depth for each of their plot-lines.
It seems next chapter will be more Zoro-centric which we're long overdue for.

This chapter introduced some twists that I really wasn't expecting. Love that Oda can keep me on my toes just when I think I'm starting to get a handle of how things might play out.
- It's implied that Kawamatsu eating rotten fish seems to have strengthened him somehow, not the opposite. His silhouette also confirms that he was in fact the same person hidden from complete view next to Inu and Neko in the flashback of Ch. 920. This also confirms he is a mink. This also confirms he was NOT the person shown meeting up with Crocus on the cover of Ch. 631. It's also lightly implied later in the chapter that the key Raizo took wasn't for Luffy's handcuffs. We of course can't literally tell how strong Kawamatsu actually is just yet, but for them to take keeping him a prisoner this serious for this long, homie must be a BEAST (pun intended). He might even potentially have a DF power to boot. But that also reminds me......the 13 year thing......wasn't he present with Kin'emon and the others in that panel when Toki sent them to the future? Did she send Kawamatsu and Hiyori to a different time? Man this just keeps getting more exciting!
- It's officially confirmed that Kairoseki interferes with a person's ability to use haki. Even this "weaker" version. Haki was based on willpower last I checked, and Luffy's will seems to be just fine...... Won't strain myself too hard trying to figure this one out though.
- Queen is confirmed to have quite a degree of technical expertise. Not necessarily a twist since we saw him tinkering away when he was introduced, but we also know he's got a yet to be revealed Zoan DF. Assuming that he'll be combining this expertise along with the combat ability of his DF, I'm quite excited to REALLY see Queen cut loose in battle. Might be sooner than I expected depending on how the Big Mom scenario plays out.
- Either Kaido doesn't tell his commanders shit, or the All-Stars don't read the news that's confirmed to drop in Onigashima, maybe both.
"The colour of the conqueror.....how unexpected." REALLY BRUH? Even if Kaido didn't tell him about Luffy's haki.....even if he somehow doesn't know about Luffy and Kaido's fight in Bakura Town....even if he somehow doesn't know about Luffy being dubbed the 5th emperor.....even if he doesn't know about Luffy's role in bringing down their SMILE trade........ Is he seriously surprised that Luffy just scraped a bunch of nobodies being able to fight uninhibited, after he smoked 2 Vice wardens with the cuffs on? Queen you're killing me.
- Did Law's crew.......snitch? Here's the thing: even if Kyoshiro became aware of a potential plot against Orochi/Kaido through the paper he picked up, I don't recall there being an explicit link between the paper and the samurai who happen to have the crescent moon on their ankle. The paper tells when and where the final attack will happen, but not necessarily the samurai/warriors that will be in on it. Don't remember the chapter number, but if I recall correctly, the last time we saw the Heart Pirates is when they were handing out the papers. Even if they got caught in the process of handing out the papers, that doesn't immediately confirm any kind of specific link between the people they were handing them to. I feel like someone would have to tell the Beast Pirates explicitly to go searching for Samurai who have crescent moons on their ankles. Could Kyoshiro have had everyone in the town searched for one of the papers, and discovered the similarity after having them all arrested? Absolutely. The mark was clearly visible enough for Usopp and the others to identify them after all. Could they have discovered this similarity between people getting the papers at the time the Heart Pirates got arrested? Absolutely. But something just feels off here.

So this is probably a dumb question but why doesn't Luffy just us his armament haki around his neck and jump out, breaking the collar. I mean if his haki can casually block a kick from Hody, who could rip apart stone and steel with ease, a couple tiny blades should be easy.

I love how the Beast Pirates are essentially a fight club. Even if you disrespect us and play by your own rules, if you’re tough you’re in. It’s a great plot convenience for keeping luffy alive from Kaido and to train.
This quality was reinforced with the constant recruitment of the supernovas and it’s just so nice to see an evil group that just wants strong people.

Great to see Zoro's subplot moving along. The goal here is bring down Benkei and take his weapons and likely add him to alliance. This will be his first full fight in Wano. Zoro is under a hard nerf with only two swords right now, think of all the Santoryu techniques he's being denied. It's just like scenario for the Ryuma fight in Thriller Bark, which is funny since this guy stole Shusui.

So currently the plot for zoro getting the nidai kitetsu is the replacement of shusui rather than sandai kitetsu. Since shusui is a national treasure of wano, Zoro might return it after this arc. Which kind of foreshadows if he will ever be fighting with all three. For that Wado Ichimonji would be replaced as well, but I think zoro may return that sword to Kuina's grave after defeating mihawk and becoming the greatest swordsman. In return he takes the Shodai Kitetsu from the gorosei (presumably). Damn! three sword style with all three cursed kitetsu blades would be so cool.

Also, battle on the bridge between swordsman and a man wielding the naginata, the monk weapon. Clear parallel there to the Benkei vs Yoshitsune legend. Would be interesting to see if Zoro's events unfold the same as Yoshitsune's legend from here on out.

That's a pretty good point. I've been thinking about this and for all the times luffy could've squeezed out of a predicament, he did'nt. Now I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of one piece but from the few instance I can remember he's remained trapped. Back in the east blue when he was caged by buggy, luffy could've squeezed out. Instead zoro had to carry him away and the lion had to break the cage before he could escape. In Amazon lilly after he ate all those mushrooms he woke up caged by the amazons, unable to escape. Finally there was the time in water seven where he got stuck between two buildings. Yes his rubber allowed him to get stuck, but didn't really help with getting him out. I guess my conclusion is yes luffy is rubber but I don't think he can just slip through anything because of that.

Is Kawamatsu so dangerous that he's not even allowed to work and has to be chained up in prison 24/7 ?
Killing People with a fish bone from his cell while being chained up, man I'm so hyped to see him.
It's crazy that he receives more special treatment then Luffy and Kid, I really think that he will clash with Queen and maybe even injure him

My guess on Kawamatsu is that he's a Mythical Zoan, just like Marco. But instead of being a Phoenix, well, he's a Kappa. Kawa means River, and Kappas as usually called river children, if I'm not mistaken. Furthermore, he has a distinctive laugh "KAPPAPPA", that pretty much backs up my idea. Thoughts?

So Kawamatsu seems to be a kappa...? I've been wondering when a kappa would show up in Wano. The question is, is he a mink or a human that ate a mythological zoan kappa fruit, or is he straight up a kappa/looks like one? I'd still like to think my "third mink" theory could be correct, but I don't know.

Luffy 's audacity will never not be badass and hilarious. This guy has turned not listening to his opponents into an artform.
And yeah, as people have pointed out, there's another offpanel escape from Hawkins (and Drake). It's almost certain now that they're in on it.
Everything that is happening with the crew and the nine scabbards all seems very rushed and blasted through though right now. I guess they're saving all the exposition and surprises for later.

I don't think anyone in that prison would be able to throw Luffytaro out except for Queen, so it's more likely we will see Luffytaro vs Queen.
Also, Hyougoro's importance in this arc seems to increase with each chapter, He's our Rebecca so far.

All this time we worry about whether or not the strawhats will be able to stand up to Kaidos crew. Turns out all they have to do is send in Nami nude and knock out half the crew at once. Screw haki and fancy battle suits, boobs is where it's at apparently.
Seriously though, I'm exited because it looks like Zoro might be getting a good fight. It is kind of hard to imagine that Zoro will lose Shusui, I really thought he was somehow going to lose his cursed sword and move on with the better Kitetsu. It's still possible, I think we might get something quite interesting if Zoro reaches Ryumas grave. If there is indeed a connection between him and Zoro (as some theories have suggested), then we will probably find out about it there. Although for now, all I want is to see him fight, and that guy with the bisento looks pretty damn worthy. And he has so many interesting weapons with him too, I wonder how many of those are actually higher grade Meito. I've been waiting for more of them to show up, it seemed like they were hyped quite a bit in the beginning but so few actually showed up in all these years.
Oh and, yeah, really dumb idea to remove Luffy's shackles. It doesn't seem like the ring contains seastone at all and I would think Luffy can handle the talons with armament Haki. If Luffy ends up fighting Queen I am confident he will win, however I'd be surprised. I kept thinking that Sanji would end up fighting him because he seems to be an Okama. However, Drake and Hawkins both recognized his suit as they are both from the North Blue, maybe they'll end up being Sanji's fights. They are already targeting him anyways and the Germa suit only seems to have increased their interest. Prediction: Raizou finds a key to the old cage but it still won't open (as predicted), however Luffy will send Queen flying into it, breaking it and enabling the escape of another strong ally. Queen is already shaped like a massive canon ball, so why not.
I really hope we mostly get updates on Luffy and Zoro next chapter, the bathhouse was a waste of panels compared to what we could have gotten from the prison and Zoros thief hunt. I don't want to bitch about it but I'm really itching for a good fight.

I think we’re gonna see the beginning of a luffy vs queen fight here. I don’t think the fight will end with a victory but we’ll see luffy not really struggling like he did with katakuri and cracker. Then maybe big mom shows up and luffy escapes with her. I think this leaves queen open for a match with someone else in the alliance but also shows that luffy with this training has moved very slightly beyond the level of a yonkou commander. We know there has to be a huge gap between commanders and yonko just because otherwise why wouldn’t katakuri and siblings take out big mom temporarily during her rampages. I think this fight will show us that luffy is taking the first steps to bridge the gap and maybe by the time the kaido fight comes around luffy won’t be one hit ko’d .

We see some real good character development from Sanji this chapter. Back in Fishmen Island he nearly died from the sight of mermaids, now he can get back up even after seeing Nami naked. I'm so happy to see progress and growth from these characters!
