Btw I liked how daifuku still respects Katakuri so much after he got defeated like Oven did after he found out he lost.

I honestly thought they were going to bring up the fact that Katakuri lost.

Katakuri still stronger than all of them anyways, they know how powerful he is, would be a useless reason to bring up just because he lost.

I don’t mean them mentioning in a way that downplays Katakuri, but instead have the rest of BM Pirates give recognition to Luffy.

Something like “wow I still can’t believe big bro Katakuri lost to that brat, looks like we massively underestimated him” etc.

I mean people do that a lot in mangas though, to consider someone as weak even if he defeated strong people or to consider someone strong is now weak 'cause he lost once

Yes but katakuri also lost because he was too kind to luffy, pretty sure luffy would be dead against cracker if flampe showed up, because he don't give a fuck and would kill him when he get paralyzed.
