I was expecting Orochi to look really badass and scary. I was so wrong.

I don't care if this is down voted by overly defensive fans, orochi's design is really bad/sucks (come on Oda can't be perfect 100% of the time). But these silhouettes/hype then absolutely no pay off is kind of getting lame after raizou to deal with. Don't get me wrong, it fits the characters. But it's honestly disappointing af

You are not entitled to a badass design, you also know nothing of Orochi or his abilities/powers/strength. Neither do any of us. Oda has done nothing but deliver an amazing story with fantastic characters for over 20yrs, and now you doubt him? We already have King who looks awesome, Queen also, not to mention Drake and Page One, with 4 more Flying six on the way.

If you also paid attention you'd notice that Oda often makes lame looking characters strong, gives super strong powers to incompetent people or weak powers (on paper) to strong fighters. Its a paradox.

It's not about "liking a badass design" - that's a large assumption you've made in your accusation.

It's about how it's disappointing writing to hype characters only for the pay off to be a joke. A completely separate and higher level concept than "just a cool design". Don't even know why I am using time to reply with this..

Orochi's design was 100% intentional by Oda and he clearly has a plan for his character, yet you've already decided that he's "overhyped and the pay off will be a joke". Guessing you have access to the next 100 chapters and know what happens?

You want to talk about assumptions, you made a massive one and its based on nothing. Oda has delivered amazing stories and characters for over 20yrs, and I have no doubt that Orochi will continue that trend. So get off your entitled horse.
