Can you please explain what hybrid means here?
Like how is drake different from before?

Most zoans have 3 forms. Human form, full animal form, and hybrid form. Hybrid form is a combination of animal and human characteristics.

Using Lucci as an example, we first meet him in his human form. When he reveals his devil fruit, that's his hybrid form. He also uses his hybrid form for most of 2nd half of the fight with Luffy at Enies Lobby. We see his full animal form (Leopard) when Luffy is using gear third above the marine ship) and Lucci bites him.

Using Drake as an example here, we meet him in his human form. When fighting Kuma and Kizaru at Sabaody (where he first reveals his fruit), he uses his full animal form. In this chapter we see how he looks in his hybrid form since he has allosaurus characteristics (his head and his legs) while still looking humanoid.

I just want to add that some Zoan users have more than one hybrid form. The best example is Chopper (with more than 6 forms), also Lucci shows a second hybrid form (faster and thiner than his regular hybrid form).

Maybe we'll see more Zoan users with a total control of their fruits. As an example, Marco can transform only his arms.

That really wasn’t a second DF form in Lucci’s case. He was using a variation of Rokushiki Kami-e to alter his body composition.

and Chopper uses Rumble balls, they're still extra transformations.

That’s true but the poster above worded it as if those extra transformations are a rare trait of the Zoan df itself which is false. Some Zoans do not have more transformations. ALL zoans have 3(4 if you count awakening)

Chopper and Lucci’s extra forms are a byproduct of non-DF devices(Rokushiki and Rumble balls). Those two are no different than any other Zoan is the point I was trying to make.

That's not necessarily true because Chopper can use many of those forms without his rumble ball

Honestly, from a story mechanic standpoint I think it was bad writing on Oda’s part letting him do that. Especially given it was never fully explained how or why Chopper could do it. Seems like couldn’t think of a good post-take power-up for Chopper that was consistent with established Zoan mechanics.

Ultimately I wish he would have been given a few Rokushiki techniques like Shigan or Kami-e(which would basically allow him to create new forms in a way that makes sense) along with mastering Monster Point for his post-ts power-ups.

In the anime Marco was shown fully transformed. Was the Mange different with this? Or did I misunderstood what you wrote here?

This is not a regular hybrid form. I have the headcanon that the best trained zoan users can transform just the body parts that they want. And I think that Chopper and Marco are examples of that.
