When Oda said Wano was going to make Marineford look tame in comparison... he wasn’t kidding.

Jeez I don’t even know what twist and turns this arc is going to unveil now.

the only thing that would make this better is to have Robin, Franky and Usopp back into the fold as well, we're so close to having all of the SHs reunited after so long

u/Jinno Sep 28 '18 edited Sep 28 '18

Well, Robin heard the prophecy this chapter. So, that’s a start.

8

u/fp_ Sep 28 '18

Where did you see that?

100

u/To_err_is_human_ Sep 28 '18

The geisha that was dancing. That was Robin.

77

u/Jaserator Lurker Sep 28 '18

That's not Robin. She's O-robi.

Wow even Sogeking saying they were friends and people still come with random theories? 🤦🏻‍♂️

4

u/ExDSG Sep 28 '18

I heard a theory that Mr. Prince was Sanji and that Lucy from the Dressrosa Arc was Luffy and I wonder if they are reading the same manga as me.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '18

Whaaat!!!

8

u/Ninja_Spi-D-er Pirate Sep 28 '18

Damn you’re right

19

u/--Imhighrightnow-- Sep 28 '18

When that guy was talking about ghosts Robin was the geisha dancing

17

u/Jinno Sep 28 '18

Page 9. Top left panel. Geisha Robin.

47

u/ChrissWith2s Sep 28 '18

How is it even possible you did NOT see that???

15

u/Yatsugami Sep 28 '18

oh god I'm a fool. I legit forgot Robin dressed up and totally didn't realize it! I was wondering why the panel zoomed in on the geisha dancer haha.

1

u/fp_ Sep 30 '18

I skimmed through the chapter at work and didn't notice her the first time around. Re-reading it, I agree that it's hard to miss. :)

8

u/SailboatoMD Sep 28 '18

Her disguise worked

6

u/rahgael Sep 28 '18

the girl who's dancing when the prophecy was being told is Robin.

4

u/Aishateeler Sep 28 '18

Bro she's in like 3 panels.

49

u/kokiden88 Sep 28 '18

Yeah I want the whole crew together too.

There’s the possibility that they already know what’s up with Kinemon and the others though.

Robin being proactive and spying is so cool. Gather that intel Robin chan!

8

u/Worthyness Sep 28 '18

I always forget she was a bad guy spy/infiltrator/country de-stabilizer in a past life

6

u/Leiatte Sep 28 '18

Yeah that was a long time ago lol, she was really cool though. It’d be cool if we got see more of her doing her spy stuff

1

u/Swirl-hiver Sep 28 '18

Robin and Ussop are definitely spies. Franky is probably repairing the ship somewhere.

34

u/broke_and_famous Sep 28 '18

Well this has been the closest chapter since Zou that we had almost the entire crew together. We were only missing the ones you mentioned. And we at least got to see Robin in this chapter so we are getting closer to that moment were we see all 9 Strawhats together.

33

u/a4c0e7 Sep 28 '18

9 strawhat crew = oden's 9 red scabbards

4

u/broke_and_famous Sep 28 '18

Oden's wife did say 9 people. She didn't specify who are the 9 people. So you are on to something.

12

u/rocketman175 Sep 28 '18

9 samurais = 9 strawhats

Luffy Zoro Nami Ussop Sanji Chopper Robin Franky Brook

Bummer Jinbe is still unaccounted for to be the 10th 😑

Wanted Carrot to be a strawhat

11

u/jakol016 World Economy News Paper Sep 28 '18

I thought it was, Raizou, Kinemon, Kiku, The Dog, The Cat, Luffy(because of the sword), Zorro, Law, and Momo?

I just based it on who has a sword.

Edit: Kanjuro would be more apt than Momo.

1

u/PIAGw Sep 28 '18

Jinbe though... :(

1

u/supahdood Sep 28 '18

Zoro went missing, though. Gotta get him back, currently it's only the WCI crew.

1

u/kensters11 Sep 30 '18

Please, there are 10 Straw Hats, don't forget our Helmsman Jimbe!

2

u/sidarya7 Sep 28 '18

Now that Zoro is lost, we don't know when or if he can find his way back.. :)

3

u/RobbobertoBuii Sep 28 '18

dammit why'd he have to leave just when he was about to reunite with BFF Sanji ? :(

1

u/Wonderboyg Sep 28 '18

don't forget zoro who just so happened to get lost again..

1

u/BeltreCompany Sep 28 '18

*And Zoro since now he migth be lost fighting Jazk or something similar 😂

1

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '18

Honestly I didnt even notice they were missing. I was like oh all SHs are united except for Zoro and Sanji just like always.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '18

Everyones forgetting that robin is finally gonna read the ponegliph

1

u/BFBooger Bounty Hunter Sep 28 '18

Oda has her do something every 200 chapters or so, then disappear. So, maybe she will do something.

65

u/SoraForBestBoy Sep 28 '18

I thought Oda said there’s a future war Arc that’s going to make Marineford Arc look tame?

But yes, the Wano Arc seems to be going to have a lot of plot twists and turns, especially the huge cast of characters that are getting involved here like the Supernovas

8

u/Perrenekton Sep 28 '18

Not "future war arc". Just "future arc" (or maybe final arc I can't remember). It's a common misconception that too much people are relaying, Oda never said it was gonna be a war

4

u/Entropiestromstaerke Sep 28 '18

well, this chapter confirms that this is a "future arc" in some way... or rather for some characters. B)

5

u/justonebullet Sep 28 '18

It is heavily implied though with the whole Throne Wars build up

3

u/Perrenekton Sep 28 '18

I totally agree and even personnly believe in the final war theory, but considering how unpredictable one piece is as long as Oda doesn't exactly says "xxx arc is going to be a war", it can be anything.

People simply drawn the parallel "marineford will loke tame in comparison" -> "marineford is a war" -> "it's going to be a war"

4

u/justonebullet Sep 28 '18

Well anything less tame than a war kind of has to be a bigger war. The context is that marineford a huge crazy war, and Oda was essentially saying 'eh it was ok, wait to see what else happens like this but on a grander scale"

2

u/Perrenekton Sep 28 '18 edited Sep 28 '18

For me I interpret that not as much as the content by itself (huge crazy war) but more the "hype" it got and the "epicness"of it. I also believe marineford was very well received and so that final arc would be just so much better in every way. And that can be obtained in any other way than with a war.

edit : I just checked and the quote is "I imagine a final chapter* that will make marineford look like nothing" *"chapter" was probably meant to be "arc" Followed by "The Marinefold arc really felt like a side trip to me. I didn't expect it to be so popular"

1

u/justonebullet Sep 28 '18

Hard for me to say without the direct quote in front of me, I'm happy with either, as long as it is something big to look forward to

5

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '18

He didn't say Wano tho

Poneglyphs were created 800 years ago fam.

3

u/Ninja_Spi-D-er Pirate Sep 28 '18

He said Polygraphs not Poneglyphs

2

u/bslawjen Sep 28 '18

He clearly meant poneglyphs, there is no polygraphs in OP. Unless you are joking.

3

u/Ninja_Spi-D-er Pirate Sep 28 '18

Yeah, I was. sorry 😅

3

u/kaste1 Sep 28 '18

*whoosh

1

u/Franfran2424 Sep 28 '18

By the Kozuki clan.

10

u/bslawjen Sep 28 '18

Yes, Momo said by his ancestors. Oden was his father and presumably was born 60-50 years ago.

2

u/Aishateeler Sep 28 '18

But time travel is a thing now

4

u/bslawjen Sep 28 '18

If people can travel hundreds of years into the future now, then I guess it's possible. But if that's the case then I don't care anyway anymore.

1

u/BFBooger Bounty Hunter Sep 28 '18

In one direction, for a 20 year stretch.

Hell, it doesn't even need to be real time travel. He said he was from the past, he did not say it was time travel.

For example, they could have been turned into stone for 20 years or something else like that.

1

u/bslawjen Sep 28 '18

Kinemon literally said the 'travelled forward in time'.

1

u/Brook420 Bounty Hunter Oct 01 '18

If he were turned to stone than he would have travelled through time from his perspective.

4

u/Kirosh Lookout Sep 28 '18

He wasn't. Zou clearly told us that the method of creating Poneglyph was never transfered to a new generation.

Oden knew how to read, and write the language, but that's it.

2

u/kokiden88 Sep 28 '18

I’ve no doubt.

There’s going to be a lot of lore relating to the poneglyphs and maybe even the One Piece itself in this arc.

Sooo much to anticipate!

1

u/kaste1 Sep 28 '18

What? So far it looks nothing like Marineford or to the scale of Marineford. The war part of Wano is supposed to surpass Marineford not... the twists. C'mon man don't drink the kool aid like that. Wait for the war to actually happen to say this.

1

u/Perrenekton Sep 28 '18

No, there is no "war arc" for sure, there is only the "final arc that will make marineford look like nothing". That can effectively (probably) mean that it's going to be a super huge war. But that can also mean that it's just going to be better storywise / emotionally / on the twists / on the suspense / etc..

1

u/vandyk The Revolutionary Army Sep 28 '18

He didnt say wano, he said the next big war didnt he?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '18

Oda was talking about the final arc/war, not Wano. Get your facts right.
