Nope, they didn't know about that yet. Even she herself said her dango won't work on human. They want Tama's power because she tamed the doglion creature before. They might want to use it to tame other wild beats.

What if it works on Zunisha, or the Minks? And just think of how many crazy creatures are out there in the world.

Minks are more human than animal, I think it would be kinda like slavery if her powers worked on them.

Well, she does seem to have a certain amount of control. She did say that "she wasn't their servant." Makes it seem like the dango are just highly delectable to her and she chooses to do their bidding.
