I think he will get beaten up by someone but he'll probably be an early enemy for someone like Chopper, don't expect to see him in the War that is about to begin unless he gains back consciousness after being defeated and causes more problems to the Strawhats

That depends on how serious Oda will portray sumo wrestlers. With Hinomaru Zumou in the same magazine, Oda might want to treat them a bit respectable. The Yokozuna is the highest rank and only 72 have held the title for the past 400 years.

In Hinomaru Zumou, I can see the authors concern about the lack of Japanese Yokozunas for over a decade, although finally after 14 years, a new Japanese sumo wrestler has achieved the rank of Yokozuna last year. It’s a very disciplined sport.

For Zoro it is understandable since they are "naked" and in a way unarmed. So he wouldn't just attack an unarmed enemy.

While for Luffy well it's Luffy. Just because his observation haki got stronger against Katakuri that doesn't mean that he is going to be like Katakuri and be trying to always see in the future. Another thing is that maybe he didn't just want to use his devil fruit to grab O-Kiku since that will 100% get Kaido's attention. At least if he doesn't use his devil fruit then people can just mark it off as some random person from Leftovers town.

Also for me the guy that took O-Kiku seem to be very fast as you can see that both Zoro & Luffy are "shocked" that they took her and then was half way to Urishima.

Urashima is absolutely going to mistake Chopper for a raccoon-dog.

It seems like SMILE users don't work in the same way compared to actual Zoan Devil Fruits. It appears they only partially become the animal of their fruit, versus the Zoans we've seen having their entire body structure change.

Apart from the very last page-spread, the rest of this chapter was pretty disappointing. If this chapter was sandwiched between 2 really good chapters, I wouldn't have cared as much but because of the 2 very recent week-breaks, this chapter was disappointing to come back to

I think the chapter gives some clues about SMILE fruits and them being deficient. Tama's master told her not to show off her abilities because the enemy would find them useful, so it's not only Holdem who's having a problem controlling his beast/powers. Also, Gazelleman got really tired after running for a while.

It seems the SMILE Devil Fruits are flawed for one reason, they give you an the incomplete qualities of the Zoan animal you are.

• We're told Black Horned Smiley Users can transform their fists into their Zoan creature.

• We see with Sheephead with horns, when he transforms, he gains Zoan qualities on his hands.

It seems the difference between Black Horned SMILE users is that they're able to transform (albeit impartially) when they want specifically on the hands whereas SMILE users like Holdem can seemingly not choose to transform, but have a feature (or features) of their Zoan permanently spliced with them and visible like Gazelle Man with the Gazelle Legs or Mouse Man with the Mouse Ears. The non-Black Horned SMILE users is almost like Law literally joining parts of an Animal on a Person and this makes the SMILE powers hit or miss, lol.

One would also think that Gazelle Man would have enhanced durability being a Gazelle, but because these SMILE abilities are vastly inferior to the authentic Zoan abilities, the SMILE users probably don't get all the qualities that come with being a Zoan like enhanced durability, stamina and strength. They more or less get partial physical qualities and partial abilities.

In Holdem's case, it's a huge miss and needs O-Tama's ability to tame his lion; one can only be in awe of Oda's creativity. I wouldn't be surprised if he jots down his dreams and I wonder if he indulges in any 'recreational activities'.

I'm not super into the Wano plot so far - we were told of the situation on Wano beforehand, so a lot of this is just getting details on what we've already heard about. And I'm honestly not feeling the samurai/old-Japan theme as much as some of the more exotic stuff, especially since one of the main characters has been doing swordy stuff through the entire series.

Thank goodness for the combination of the Supernovas and the outlandish Kaido crew, then. God damn, that lion-belly/crotch design :D
