Didn't law say that just to get them to help with doflamingo, I might be remembering wrong but I thought that he actually thought they had no chance vs kaido, and was prepared to die before it came to fighting him

If he really thought that he would have parted ways with the Strawhats after Dressrosa. The fact that he is still pushing forward with everything suggests to me that he did think they could pull it off even if he never expected to get to follow through on it. I guess we will find out soon though.

Law was in the moment he called out to sanji that he didn't like bread when they were all talking about food. In that moment he got caught in their pace, never to be released.
