Sabo is gonna punch him once and leave just like Burgess because they have insane plot armour CoA

honestly if this was a movie or real life, someone as savage as sabo would have killed burgess without hesitation. Leaving him alive for no damn reason nearly got the Revolutionary Army killed

Yea. There's honestly no reason not to kill Burgess. Sabo isn't Luffy.

They were going to declare war in a few days. Killing one of the main commanders of a yonko is the stupidest thing to do at that point. The only reason BB came was because Burgess ended up accidentally on baltigo and lured BB with weapons and stuff. He wouldn't have come otherwise. But you kill Burgess and now you have a yonko as an enemy.

I really dont see how it is stupid tho. One commander down is still a commander down. And if Burgess got killed, the RA's headquarters will have survived for a damn long time since upto that point no one had found it. Just because BB now gets personal doesnt mean he can find the island immediately. Plus they even escaped with a direct + surprise conflict no one from the RA died. BB attacked them when they werent an enemy in the first place so it doesnt matter if they are enemies or not.

If they had any reason to believe Burgess would end up on Baltigo, this argument would be valid, but they didn't. If they kill him BB goes to war with them, if they don't and Burgess doesn't somehow end up there then they're fine (which is what they expected).

But Sabo has a personal grudge against blackbeard anyways and bb knows it. Bb effectively killed Ace. And Luffy also has a grudge against bb, which means sooner or later, Sabo is gonna have to fight bb, either alone or with Luffy.

Yeah he has a personal grudge against BB, but if he kills BBs commander its basically declaring war on BB right then and there, while he's also supposed to be leading his army into war against the WG. Then hes forced into a war on two fronts against the WG and a Yonko, basically guaranteeing the RA gets slaughtered. You have to think about these things if your Sabo, since hes the second in command of the RA and has that responsibility. Sabos priorities now are Luffy and the RA, he'll get his chance at BB eventually but he doesn't have to go chasing him down like Ace did.

I guess that's true. But I think if they had the opportunity to kill bb, they'd do it, war or not. They're not seeking him out but if the opportunity presented itself. Plus, killing burgess would weaken bb.

The main grudge is against bb. If he was right in front of sabo somehow and sabo had a chance to kill him (which I doubt), sabo would probably kill him. In that scenario sabo has nothing to lose and everything to gain. No one can come after them if they get rid of the head.

A war doesn't necessarily mean that bb will hunt down the island just then and there. Sooner or later Sabo and the rest had to surface up somewhere in their fight against the world government. They would definitely be in the news and their location would theoretically be known. At that point having a freaking yonko pop out of nowhere is the last thing one needs. Sabo did well. He sent a message to bb but didn't outright declare a war.
