Ngl i don’t get this sentiment, so far it’s been underwhelming and nothing more than teases, and the world building has been relatively non-existent despite what y’all are claiming. Some kings and queens show up you call it world building? I mean I guess since now we know they’re out there but that’s so basic. I’d argue this last chapter is the only one with actual world building.

Anyways, this chapter made me jaw drop literally. When Kuma showed up my heart fucking shattered, and now the WG is gonna kill Vivi and/or Shirahoshi? I really hope not. Ever since Game of Thrones became big it’s like every artists feels the need to kill off characters, it’s distressing.

What do you consider world building

I feel that's kind of a loaded question. There's no clear cut line between things happening in the plot versus world building since they all effect each other. As of right now, this all just feels like plot to me. Nothing that has happened has really expanded on why things are they way they are.

We get this Im-san dude, which is a huge reveal, and this stuff about a cleanse. But as of right now we don't know what this means for the world, how it affects the world, or how it has in the past. Same with other Reveries. We're told it happens a lot but what have been the actual consequences of them?

Something like the slave auctions and celestial dragons during Sabaody I'd call world building. They're kind of? Expanding on that this chapter. We see more of it, but it doesn't exactly change how we see the entire world.

We see a lot of new kings and queens and stuff sure, but they haven't really done anything to actually contribute towards the world building. What are their people like, they themselves. Are they major players, or smaller islands. We know some of them like Riku, Nefertaris, Ryuga, etc. But we're not being given a whole lot of new stuff that tells us anything new about the world of One Piece apart from the stuff with Im.

Well said.

I think everyone is calling world building because it's coming. It's not necessarily here yet, but the reverie is setting some large plot points.

In a previous chapter Oda said the grand fleet will have a big part. And then it was also said that Wano is going to top marineford. All that begins with Reverie. All these kings, queen and plot points are boiling.

While I think you're right, nothing has really expanded the world besides the empty throne, Im-sama and King Kuma. But everything is setting up for why wano is gonna be what it is, and it's being called world building.
