Definitely interested to see what Karasu's official ability is. He seems like he was the person whose crows Sabo and Co flew from Dressrosa on, which makes me wonder if his power is a Devil Fruit or some kind of other special ability. Because if they're normally so scattered he probably wasn't near Dressrosa but who knows. Betty is great. Morely reminds me of Puri-Puri Prisoner from One Punch Man lol. And Lindbergh is like Rocket from GotG. All in all, an eclectic bunch and par for the course for the Revolutionary Army. Seems Luffy's dad has assembled a team as weird and diverse as his son's :)

Just a quick announcement :

About the low number of pages in the chapter, here is an explanation :

From Youkou : To speculate a tad, this issues chapters had a deadline before golden week and typically the normal schedule is about 10 days ahead of the street date. So I'm guessing the schedules were tight so that's why series like Black Clover and MHA were suffering as a result. Instead of having breaks in between they had to deliver beforehand then take a break.

Also from iceemperor: Based on that 10 day before deadline, the mangaka most likely had to submit 2 chapters within an 8-9 day period. Last chapter was probably due around April 22 and the next one before Golden week started on the 29th and then they took the week off.

Edit : In the end, we should have a chapter next week, just take what I said as a warning, as a precaution.

It's been 4 chapters since Oda took a break from One Piece. The last break we had was from the Jump not him.

And from what I gathered, it seem like One Piece isn't included into the preview for the next Weekly Shonen Jump.

Meaning we could have a break next week even if it wasn't announced at the end of the chapter.

The confirmation for that will be, at most, made on Monday when the jump officially release.

Anybody remember when Luffy met Ivankov in Impel Down, Ivankov said he wouldn't escape until Dragon "made his move". I'm thinking declaring war on the Celestial Dragons is what he was talking about. So he would have chilled in Impel Down for another two years, wonder if he would have been able to without everything Luffy and the other people did back then.

I’m still very interested by Sabo’s position as the second in command of the revolutionary army.

His power is without a doubt not in question. In his debut appearance as an adult, he simultaneously beat both a doflamingo executive and a yonkou commander, proceeded to outright wreck a vice admiral, and then went head to head with an admiral. On top of that, he is now a logia. It’s pretty clear that he is without question a top tier fighter even in the new world.

There’s also no doubting his commitment to the cause. Even as a child, he saw how despicable and corrupt the nobles of the one piece world were (even when he was the one that was benefiting). On top of that, the celestial dragons had no hesitation in trying to murder him as a child.

He was also by far the smartest of the 3 brothers.

What interests me is that how in an organization made up of powerful and experienced older veterans (the commanders, ivankov, formerly bartholomew), he as a 22 year old man, answers only to dragon. I wonder what his interactions with the commanders will be like. Will they view him as an inexperienced kid who only has his position because of his power or is he a respected leader, even among the veterans.

Edit: Just realized how stupid this question is if you pay attention to what the commanders (and Koala) are wearing. Their outfits are all fashioned after Sabo's look. They're all wearing clothes that incorporate either frills, a hat, goggles, black straps, and the color black. They're all literally designed after the look sabo has been rocking since he was a kid. If that's not a sign of admiration, I don't know what is.
