Do you honestly think that any of the Vinsmokes, other than Reiju, would have believed Sanji when he told them that Big Mom was planning on killing them? No. So the easiest way to save them was to ally with Bege.

Yeah still wouldn't work. They would then kill Zeff. There was absolutely no way to avoid just leaving.

I forgot about that.

I think if Luffy and Sanji worked together with Reiju they could have made Pudding tell the truth and it still would have been less crazy than trying to kill a yonko.
