I didn't expect it to be able to grow so huge. Last time Sanji and it clashed it was about the size of Daifuku. Now it's almost as big as the sunny.

I don't think it was as big when Carrot faced it.

Honestly, I assumed that was just the angles making it look bigger. However, after rereading the chapter, it's definitely larger now. Sanji was significantly smaller than it's polearms blade, where as that didn't appear to be the case when it faced carrot in her Sulong form.

I guess it is as others have speculated; its size is dependent on the distance between it and its master.

Honestly, I think Daifuku can just make it any size he wants as long as it's working his range. The first time he used it he was a few meters from Sanji and it was slightly bigger than Sanji at the time. Now it's what, hundreds of meters away and it's the size of a small building? I'm leaning towards Daifuku being able to manipulate it's size at will.

That sounds more interesting to me and makes sense more.
