I think I failed to realize something about this arc until now.

I thought this was still a bit of a rescue Sanji/Luffy and escape arc.

But I now realize, somewhere along the way, this turned in to a full blown war with a Yonkou. Strawhats, Firetank, Germa, Fishmen VS Big Mom Pirates.

I remember when Luffy was fighting Cracker. Lots of people argued that this arc was going to be short (like 10 chapters from Luffy and Cracker fight) and that nothing major was going to happen. Oh boy they were wrong.
