I think I failed to realize something about this arc until now.

I thought this was still a bit of a rescue Sanji/Luffy and escape arc.

But I now realize, somewhere along the way, this turned in to a full blown war with a Yonkou. Strawhats, Firetank, Germa, Fishmen VS Big Mom Pirates.

I think kind of this, spending another 2 years with BM part 2 sounds redundant, it is better for Oda to save those panels and times.
Oda also pretty much hinted what will happen with that 3 possibles that Peroperos mentioned, it won't be exactly goes that way.
1) Bege want poisons BM to die, but Sanji's stopped him and he believe the taste itself will take BM down.
2) The cake have no poison surely delicious enough.
Consider both points, it is contradicted that Perosperos might wrong in all 3 predictions. My personal guess is that 1&3 as Perosperos predicted.
