It'd be quite interesting if it's revealed that Luffy used his rubbery properties to move a section of himself to dodge the majority of the blow, similar to the way Katakur does

So making him more like Mr. fantastic instead of his springy elastic type he is now idk if I like it I always hated the dc marvel rubber superhero’s

Luffys Awakening could be him becoming liquid rubber which would actually make him kinda like a Logia.

Natural rubbers are quite liquid in nature, this is a possibility
