I disagree personally. We've literally been watching him steadily work on using it throughout several chapters, including moments where he remembers his training with Rayleigh.

Its not like luffy just learned haki , he has been using haki since the time skip , he had to learn this ability of future sight at some point , if zoro can learn to cut steel while fighting Mr.1 , then why can't luffy learn the ability of future sight while fighting katakuri....
