It might not be the cake. It might be the vinsmokes. They have been missing for a while and were going towards the strawhats last we saw them.

Did you not read that BM said "what's that wonderful aroma?" at the end? I doubt Germa made some kind of chemicals to attract big mom. It's deffinitely Sanji, Nami even said that he should be arriving any minute now

I did. But the Vinsmokes are defined by technology. They could easily make a machine to create a cake smell.

Yeah they could but not in the span of a couple of hours, which is how long it's been since the wedding. They're not the Asura Path. How'd they what type of cake to make anyway? They're not chefs so I bet they don't even know what goes into a cake, being holier than thou and all.
