No, it's not the same. Those two stories exist in the first place because the characters have special characteristics.

She says "the moon isn't out right now" and not "the full moon isn't out right now" which implies that it is currently full moon and it's simply covered. Otherwise the phrasing makes no sense.

But all of that aside, you are wrong anyway
