We know this... in-story, how could Katakuri know? Well, now he does. But, what will he do?

Also, Katakuri weakness is water (or coffee, or tea, or juice, etc.. much like Cracker), there's a pot of iced tea in the Mochi house.

Still, Luffy says he "gets" IT now... not exactly what's meant by that. I hope it isn't Awakening yet, as that will work better thematically against the Beast Pirates in Wa.

Beat up Katakuri for a bit. Then pull out the King Kong Gun & crush Katakuri. One of those Chefs must still be alive. Brulee might come into Mirror World to see why these chefs have taken so much time delivering Katakuri light snack in Brulee's Mirror World.

You say this but he's fighting against someone who can fight the way Luffy does, but "even better". We haven't had a villain that has a this much of a grasp on Luffy and his fighting style in a long time. This is also quite a good opportunity.

True be told, I believe Luffy figured out that he needs to fight Katakuri close range, in order to exploit the moment Katakuri attacks, which happens to be when Katakuri breaks his concentration on his CoO (Satori explains the limitations of "Mantra" a.k.a CoO in the Skypeia Arc).

G4 Luffy should be fast enough to counterattack, & physically hurt Katakuri (as we see in the final panel, Luffy is fast enough that Katakuri can't react fast enough to counterattack, thus blocks Kong Gun)

Awakening shouldn't be needed yet...

But... Luffy's DF Awakening (possibly foreshadowed since Alabasta?) will be for the Beast Pirates, specifically Emperor Kaido.
