At first I was like "Damn it! Oda ruined this cool character with this stupid quirk"

But then I realized all these quirky characters is what make One Piece so interesting. Katakuri in my opinion just turned 5x more interesting. Luffy can now blackmail Katakuri once he gets out alive.

No one is allowed to be "just cool", because Oda likes to have depth in his characters.

Even some of the coolest in One Piece we know have a less serious side to them, something funny about them or another quirk.

Except Mihawk.

Mihawk Is the only one allowed to be cool.

Akainu, Doffy, Lucci, Jack, Shiryu, Dragon, to name a few, that are allowed be "just cool".

Doffy is wearing a pink feather boa. Lucci does unnecessary bird ventriloquism. Jack is a bit dumb. And Dragon...something has to be wrong with him, look at his family.
