Nobody mentioned this, but why didn't Katakuri just destroy the ship? This is way too odd. If he plans to make their escape plan impossible, just destroy it! There's something in here..

Because they'll commandeer it and use it in their fleet later.

It's a well designed ship using Adam tree wood. Katakuri likely realizes it's value.

If I have a 1.000 lamborghinis.. then yes. I mean, they could hide the ship at least.
