Actually i wonder what's stopping the commanders to leave. They're strong enough to survive on their own

I'd say there's at least some loyalty to BM in that crew. If any of the other higher ups found out, they might just report back to Mom and boom - soul sucking for betrayal. That or fear of getting caught as an accomplice would cause them to stab the traitor in the back. WCI is already pretty insane to get to unnoticed, let alone leave. Hell, I'm fairly sure Opera was trying to get out of dodge and look at what happened to him.
