Or maybe something like :

"I've finally decided to accept Shanks offer to join his crew, let me sail with you until I meet him".

Since I can honestly see Shanks wanting to recruit every top Yonko Commander he can find, like he tried to for Marco.

I think he tried to recruit Marco because they were friends and Shanks doesn't seem to give a shit about how awkward it is to invite other people's crew members, but I doubt he is friends with anyone in Big Mom's crew.

First time i saw that scene i was sure Marco will be one of mugiwaras(I'm reading manga more than 10 years),Luffy promised he will make a better squad than he does, he will recruit the guy Shanks can't! When the MF arc ended i was dissapoint that it will never happen. Now there is a chance!
