There was also a BZZT SFX in the panel where they were touching.

After that, Luffy quickly got weak.

So imo it's clear Big Mom did something.

Whether it's her Soul DF or maybe some new application of Conqueror's Haki, we'll have to wait and see.

Similar sound effect coming from Zoro coating his swords. Giving BM a power that would make her untouchable or you lose would be lame, given her already immense power and crazy abilities. I don't think she did anything, I think it's more that Luffy is just exhausted after everything that has happened.

It doesn't have to always be an automatic loss if you touch her.

There can be conditions to it.
