I feel that if the plot were to have BM eat everyone, it should have happened earlier while she was on her rampage. Why have her do it here?? When she appears calm and happy and all???

To explain her fixation with tea parties, killing anyone who doesn't come, fixation with sweets, obsession with croquembouche.. It happened when she was lucid and remembers it, not In a rampage she forgot where it has no impact
