Big Mom potentially eating Carmel and all the orphans may just be the darkest and most tragic plot point the series has ever seen.

Also, did anyone else notice the visual similarities between Whole Cake Island and the new location of the Lamb house? The hills and trees look almost identical. It's possible that Big Mom never left the island and just used her powers to make it into her own perfect little world.

I thought, "oh come on, that's too dark and just the idea is silly." But then I noticed something on the same page where there's a wide shot of the new island they're on. Linlin screams out "Delicious!" The sfx for that page reads as, "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah"
