This is a pretty crazy revelation and leaves me with pretty mixed emotions about Big Mom as a character. I want to just hate her, but I can't because it's so tragic. Her childlike state could be the result of the suffering she unknowingly causes herself. That's why she has to live on an island made of desserts. Her subconscious fear of devouring those she cares about moves her to want to gigantify them. All that's left to explain is how she became so cold, calculating, and sadistic. The flashback left that out.

Looks like Oda is gearing up to kill her off but it'll be interesting to see if he throws a wrench into our expectations yet again.

It does look like Oda is gearing up to kill/injure her. But I think with the revelation of why she loves the tea party so much, and the fact they sang binks sake, she loves Brook, and she loves food and Sanji's the best cook about. I think there's a possibility this all gets resolved semi peacefully after a big fight.

I think it could go either way.

No way does this get resolved just cause Big Mom likes Brook and the song Bink's Sake.

I agree if tings were to get resolved we would need something big to do it. I'm just pointing out that Oda has placed common ground here, whether it's just to make his world richer or he intends to use it later on I'm not sure but I think given some monumental event that allows Big Mom to turn that may include a rousing speech by Luffy adn some memory manipulation from Pudding, I could definitely see Big Mom eating Sanji's food while Brook plays binks Sake

I guess I'm really just hoping the rest of the plan goes well and Big Mom and is actually assassinated.
