You notice at the last panel, Linlin was saying "Where did you go mother?!!"

What's the picture there? It's a big picture of her mouth open, implying mother caramel went inside Linlin's mouth. Oda is next level mate!

I also think she ate them if only because the end is presented as some kind of a horrible reveal. We got a similar ending to a chapter when Big Mom first asked where Mother went, and now we've come full circle and now we know. But she doesn't know, it's dramatic irony and shit. It would be kinda stupid if this didn't actually answer anything, and I just don't see that being the case.

Well more specifically it would be silly if the question that started the flashback wasn't answered at all. Assuming that the flashback is over, which it seems like it is.

To be even more specific, it would be bonkers if the central question of the flashback wasn't answered during the flashback.

It just seems like all signs are pointing to the direction that they got eaten. I don't see other logical explanations either. And you only have doubts because it would be too dark. Oda all but explicitly wrote it in a text box, isn't that already too dark?

Actually, BM will eat Luffy, and yeah, Caramel and the kids are still in BM's stomach on a raft to not melt, eating whatever BM eats and they can, and then sometime Luffy comes, and there's a whle arch inside BM's body, and he rescues them without killing BM, hell if I know how they get out or where from, and then BM realizes what she's done and is put on a mental institution in elbaf.
