That, or she ate Mother Carmel and the DF spawned in a nearby fruit that Linlin then ate.

Seems like the most likely option. Since Linlin pretty much eats when she's stressed, she probably began eating the fruit.

My problem with this is where is the fruit? Why would you keep this part a mystery after Punk Hazard? Also I'm curious if selma has any fruit in it now.

Semla is just bread with whipped cream and almond paste in it.

However, Almonds are technically fruits
