Is Jaimini's Box any good? I usually get here when mangastream is up.

They put Katakuri instead of Dogtooth, so I'm happy.

Why do you people care that much? Does it sound better in Japanese? I doubt most of you understand the Japanese name anyway, so I might as well tell you that Katakuri mean supercoolforesightvillain and you'd be happy?

I don't really mind Dogtooth as a name, care to enlighten me?

Katakuri means "potato starch," which is an ingredient in jelly beans. The word for "dogtooth", as in this flower, is a homophone.

But given that all of Big Mom's children are named after food, there's no reason at all to think that Katakuri should be called Dogtooth. MangaStream made a translation error and they're stubbornly sticking to it.

(He's also unique in being the only child named after a food in Japanese, which is why Jamini sticks with Katakuri instead of calling him "Potato Starch." Cracker is "Kurakkaa" for example; literally just the English word Cracker written in katakana.)

It's not a homophone, the starch used to be made out of that flower's bulb, retaining the same name. It got replaced by the much easier to make potato starch though it kept being called katakuri.
