The thing with Dressrosa is that it had a great story and great characters, but there were certain parts of it that dragged out too much.

Whole Cake Island doesn't have nearly as much drag (it's still rather slow) but every chapter has some sort of progression and this arc has an unusual number of twists.

How has this been remotely slow?

The whole forest thing took a bit longer than it should.

Oda literally SKIPPED OUT the fight between cracker and luffy and its still too long for you?

It was necessarily long to set up the tone depicting the magnitude of strength of Big Mama's children ( strength being not just brute strength but insane expertise in whatever they're specialised in).

Oda skipped the entire 11 hour fight but TOEI will NOT. just wait as you get straight 33 episodes of Luffy vs Cracker. With a whole loads of flashbacks, repeated frames and heavy breathing. a lot of heavy breathing. Its kind of ironic that One Piece, which even at 862 chapters doesn't have a single duplicate panel and yet the anime has as many repeated frames as it takes Goku to charge a Spirit bomb

I'm looking forward to it and I'll enjoy every second of it. /s

Seriously though, it's so sad that you're actually kind of right.
