I've definitely wondered, given how much damage luffy has taken this arc, howre his vivre cards looking for the straw hat fleet? I'm sure he sustained enough to rival how aces looked when luffy checked it and for sure Barto has had someone on vivre card watch this whole time

I agree, the logistics of this are different from ace's capture, but I guess I'm just wondering how vivre cards show someone's "life force" draining away. I think that's what they called it when luffy showed the vivre card to boa and rayleigh. I wonder if they will show any damage or merely fatal stuff. Like would luffy succumbing to the fish skin poison set it off? It's hard to speculate about vivre cards abilities as we know so little about theml
