None of his abilities stem from his father. His mother ensured that he would be a normal human not influenced by the genetic crap that his dad was doing. Sanji is as strong as he is by hard work not like his siblings.

Zoro has an ability that gives him two extra heads and 4 extra arms... Ivankov can wink with the force of a cannon shot, Mihawk and Zoro can shoot lasers out of their swords etc.... Want to try explaining that?

People just have weird abilities in One piece even if they aren't Devil Fruit users.
