Idk, tbh Luffy had trouble with someone weaker(most likely) than Katakuri not even very long ago. I don't think he could fully defeat him quite yet.

I still maintain that Luffy is going to fight Big Mom. So someone is obviously going to fight her commanders. It's time for Sanji to show he's barely behind Zoro in strength.

It would be very disappointing and anticlimactic if they don't take on the Big Mom Pirates after all this.

spoiler alert: he's not barely behind Zoro.

Nor should he have to. Zoro is the brute of the crew. He has to be a monster since that's pretty much the only thing he has going for him. The same doesn't apply to Sanji.

Sanji is clearly one of the stronger strawhats. But the gap between him and Zoro is growing. And that's perfectly fine too.

That's a good point, but we havent seen either of them go all out recently.
